Tashiyangtse District, one of the most North Eastern districts of Bhutan is located at an elevation of approximately around 1871m above the sea level. Tashiyangtse District is one of the most remote districts and often regard as the least developed districts of Bhutan. Tashiyangtse District was created in 1992, when separated from the Tashigang district. The district covers an area of around 1437.9 square kilometers. And within this, the beautiful and content rich, Bumdelling National Park is situated. The people of Tashiyangtse are largely depending on the agriculture related work and live stock. The region has one of the finest climate and altitude for the cultivation and farming. Tashiyangtse is also known for being the winter roosting place of Black Necked Crane and significant Chorten Kora.
