With international airport located in Paro, it is usually called as a gateway to Bhutan. Paro is one picturesque district in the country. Covered with fertile paddy field along the meandering river flowing down the Paro town, Paro radiates history and culture. The famous Tiger Nest or Taktsang Monastery built on the cliff with a history dating back to 17 th century is located in this valley.
